Building Brighter Futures
Wisconsin Fundraising Event
Join Learn for Life Kenya for an evening celebrating African culture!
Featuring African cuisine, music, and an African market.
With featured speaker, Grace Wangui Wanjiru
Grace is a Kenyan-born college graduate who became an orphan by the age of two, losing both her parents to AIDS. She grew up in an orphanage in the community where Learn For Life Kenya and the Tumaini Children's Home are building a Vocational Training Center. Grace's story is a compelling picture of perseverance, hope, and determination to turn struggle into victory, both for herself and for others. Her inspirational story has been told to tens of thousands of students around the USA. Help us welcome Grace back as she travels to the United States for her second event with us.
PLEASE NOTE: Some of Grace's story may not be suitable for children ages 12 and under.
If you are unable to attend, but would still like to support our mission -- to prepare impoverished communities in Kenya for employment through vocational skills training:
Learn For Life Kenya is building dignified, self-sustainable employment options through vocational and entrepreneurial training. All proceeds go directly to building the Vocational Training Center in Nyeri, Kenya.
